The Show Must Go On

The paintings of these series are mainly comprised by the concept Elephant in the Room. The artist
creates a dialogue between the idiom “elephant in the room” and the abstractive depiction of the
figures. Although the word “elephant” is used to refer to an obvious and major issue, Efstathiou chooses
to camouflage the elephant in the pictorial plane.
